I love things.
Nothing gets to me quite the way things do. Why do I keep that dirty rock I found? What about that well of excitement when I see rhinestones? Or the delight and allure of giant and tiny things. I use objects to explore themes of identity, ideology, desire, fetishism, and fantasy. Using artifacts of popular culture, I reinterpret their “roles” as I see them. Using existing objects, I reorganize their original place in the world. This perhaps allows us to look at the powerful language inherent in “things” and our relationships with them.
